Week 4

Week 4

Current Weight: 153 lbs

Measurements: thigh 20”, hips 41”, waist 37”, chest 41

5 units

Slow and steady, right? Down 7 lbs, 4” off. I had no side affects from the shot at all this week. My baggy jeans are now held up with a belt. It’s the little things I get excited about. I can’t wait until my wedding rings fit again.

I concentrated on more walking and I did pretty well. I hit my goal steps either close or over my 4k with the exception of the weekend when we were traveling. It’s tough to get your steps in when you’re stuck in a car!

My hips have been holding out pretty well. After my longer walks I do get stiff and in the morning I’m limping a bit, but I’m actually impressed that I’m not in a lot of pain. I definitely think some of the inflammation in my joints is going away. I can barely imagine being pain-free.

I do get hungry sometimes during the day but it doesn’t take a lot to fill me up. I have to remember to STOP EATING when I’m full. That is my problem in a nutshell. So when I cook normal meals, I’ll portion out a serving and then half it. For instance, I made fettuccine alfredo with ham and ate ½ cup. That seems to be the perfect amount to fill me up. It’s been nearly impossible to have 3 meals. Breakfast, a late lunch and by dinner I have no appetite at all. A few hours before bed I try to have a small snack. Salami/sausage/beef stick and some cubed cheese or half an apple with peanut butter seems to be my go-to. I’m averaging between 650-900 calories a day with an equal amount of carbs and protein. The first two or three days after my shot I barely have an appetite so those are my lower calorie days.

I had 3 alcoholic drinks. I didn’t even really want them. I was just bored. And I had a bout of insomnia so I thought it would help me sleep. Next week I’m hoping to go the whole week without a drink.

Speaking of next week, my dose gets doubled so I’m excited for that!
